Spreckley adds the Association of Business Executives to PR roster

Global non-profit organisation The Association of Business Executives (ABE) has hired Spreckley as its retained PR agency in the UK.

The professional membership body and recognised examination board provides further education qualifications for students ambitious to develop their career in management or looking for a progression route to Bachelors, MBAs or other Masters degrees around the world. Currently available in 20 colleges within the UK, students can achieve Diplomas in Business and Financial Management, Business Start-up and Entrepreneurship, as well as in specific disciplines such as Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management.

With a remit to support ABE in its vision to establish the UK as a global centre of excellence, Spreckley will leverage its experience in the education and public sectors, as well as expertise working with entrepreneurs and business start-ups to raise the organisation’s media profile and share of voice among three distinct audiences. These are: further education institutions (with a focus on sixth form colleges), young people aged 16 to 21, and fast-growth businesses looking to fill entrepreneurial skills gaps, which are increasingly critical to success. To achieve this, Spreckley will execute a thought leadership programme for ABE, underpinned by an extensive consumer research project, case studies, and media relations.

Gareth Robinson, CEO of ABE, commented: “Spreckley demonstrated its knowledge behind the key challenges that businesses face in meeting their changing skills requirements, as well as the potential to expand the PR programme into regions such as Africa and Asia where our other key markets lie. We have a great story to tell, and we look forward to telling it through Spreckley’s work.”

Richard Merrin, Managing Director of Spreckley added: “Britain has a real thirst for business and innovation, and businesses are crying out for management skills that reflect the realities and challenges of running a successful business in 2016. Many people enter today’s workplace with non-vocational Bachelors degrees and qualifications, and find they are faced with the choice of low-paid, administrative positions or unpaid internships in order to build up bona fide work experience. ABE offers a viable alternative that meets the needs of employers today, and will improve students’ career and salary prospects early on, and that’s the message we will drive home among young people, educational institutions and industry alike.”
